Reviewer praises friendly, professional, and helpful customer service.
“ALWAYS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM HALE GROVES!”
Order delivery failed and customer service lacked expected attention to detail.
“The order did not deliver as planned”
Reviewers often mention polite, well-informed phone reps and responsive support that fixes problems and issues reimbursements. Still, multiple reviews describe operational breakdowns, including deliveries to the wrong address, missed orders, and late shipments. These issues appear less often than praise, but they drive many of the lowest ratings.
Many customers call the fruit premium and say it justifies the price, especially the peaches and citrus. Some reviewers say items arrived spoiled or bitter after shipping, which they feel undercuts the value. These complaints show up less than the positive notes, but when they do, the dissatisfaction is strong.
Buyers frequently describe the online checkout as simple and phone orders as handled quickly. Gift recipients and repeat customers often note tidy packaging and on-time arrival when delivery goes as expected. A small number of reviews cite problems with expedited or next-day service, and those experiences draw sharp frustration.
Many reviews highlight juicy, sweet peaches and flavorful oranges and grapefruit. Repeat complaints target certain items: overripe or rotting honeybells, lackluster pears, and bitter fruit after long transit. These problems appear intermittently but account for several of the lowest ratings.
Customers often describe clear, fast replies from support by phone and email. Several reviewers say the company corrected order errors and arranged replacements. A smaller group reports weak follow-up when deliveries fail or when orders never get placed.
Feedback splits between strong satisfactionโdriven by fruit flavor and helpful staffโand clear dissatisfaction tied to shipping problems and spoilage. Positive experiences make up most of the comments, but operational or quality failures create a noticeable split in outcomes. High praise alongside sharp complaints defines the overall picture.

I bought 1lb of honeybells from Hale Groves, but what I received were not honeybells at all. They are rotten, spoiled, and expired! I even took pictures to prove it. And when I contacted customer service about it, they said they would be happy to send me a replacement order, but when it arrived I couldn't even eat them because they tasted bitter. It's a shame that an otherwise well-known and good company like Hale Groves would be so careless. I just wasted my $$$$ and I feel like I got scammed. 've been buying from Hale for years and now I'm not sure if I'll be back.
