Coddle was started by Sean Pathiratne when he used to sell convertible furniture one to one in the Bay Area. As the business grew, the company was officially launched in August 2018 with the flagship product the Toggle Convertible Couch, a Toggle Recliner Chair and Toggle Ottoman. Currently, its headquarters are in San Francisco, California and they focus on selling versatile couches. As the brand grew, they partnered with product designer Eric Fields to fuel innovation in terms of space, luxury and customer experience. They have retail partners in Brooklyn and New York City. They also offer financing options through their partner so that you can purchase over time using monthly plans. Some of the fabrics they use for production are Smart Suede, Plush Velvet, Alto, saratoga and premium blended leather. Alto and Saratoga are a blend of Polyester, Cotton and Nylon.

They specialize in convertible and modular furniture which is handcrafted. For instance, they have a switch sleeper sofa, chair, ottoman. They all have integrated power and a USB port to facilitate charging and avoid cables across the room. They have a toggle category that houses convertible couch, reclining chair, toggle ottoman. They’re designed to chill, cuddle, recline, relax, recharge, dream, sit etc. These mostly have a stainless steel base frame and legs. They’re also cool-gel infused. Further, their code collection is built using memory foam and is divided into couch, ottoman and chair. In the node collection, they have sections, modular sofas available from two to four-seaters.
