Staud was started in 2015, in Los Angeles, California, the United States of America by fashion designer Sarah Staudinger and Hollywood personality George Augusto. It is a privately-owned entity and a ready to wear line offering wardrobe essentials and standalone itemsets that are designed and created in downtown L.A. According to the founders, their vision for this brand was fashion that would not only empower women but would be accessible to them too. Staud doesn’t in its individual capacity own a boutique or a store, but their items are carried in a hundred plus retailers worldwide, along with their Amazon store and official website. Since its establishment, the brand has featured in coveted fashion magazines worldwide like Vogue, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar.

Products and Services of Staud

Adhering to the brand’s vision of bringing a quintessential L.A. girl’s lookbook, the Staud website displays all pieces to put together an appearance. The broad categories on the site are clothing, handbags, shoes and accessories, which further branch out to other styles and specifications. The clothing sizes range from XXS (extra-extra small) to XL (extra-large), while the shoe size (in US measurements) ranges from 5 to 12. They offer jumpsuits, knits, jackets, tops and bottoms. In bags, they have minis, crossbody, totes etc. For footwear, they offer mules, wedges, heels and more. Another addition to their item collection is the “Custom Pet” collection, which features a wide array of handbags and sweats, but with a pet’s animated face prominently placed on them. They also have small leather goods like pill case, makeup pouch.

Staud currently ships products to all countries worldwide. For domestic orders i.e. orders within the 48 contiguous United States, Staud offers a choice between the Standard, 2- Day and Overnight delivery. On international orders, customers will be required to pay the standard international delivery charges plus duties and taxes billed by the destination country’s customs department. The company accepts returns for only unused and unworn items. Customers can also check the site for regular or seasonal discounts or can subscribe to their Staud’s e-newsletter so they can be notified about promotional offers by mail.     Handbag

    I'm not a frequent shopper with them. I was ecstatic when I placed an order for a bag on sale. It has only been delivered, and as I unpacked it, there are scratches and scuffs in the leather. To see if I could exchange it for an undamaged one, I contacted customer service and asked what I should do but they said I can't return or exchange it. I don't know if it's true but the customer service representative was very rude! I don't think that was right at all! I was not looking for a refund, but an exchange instead. This is just plain horrible! They should fix this mistake and not make it worse. I would not buy from them again if they cannot provide better customer service.
