Shortly after graduating from The University of Georgia, SculptHouse Founder, Katherine Mason, moved to New York City to immerse herself in the ﬁtness industry. She didn’t know exactly where it would lead, but she knew the experience she would gain learning the ins and outs of the industry would set her up for success in her ultimate goal of starting her own business. She knew she wanted to cultivate a space combining ﬁtness and fashion, so she worked at two of the city’s most prominent luxury ﬁtness studios and signed with Wilhelmina Models Fitness Division to learn the ropes.

Through her experience and personal training conversations, Katherine realized there was a void in the industry for a workout that combined Lagree Fitness with cardio intervals on a treadmill to get a low-impact but high-intensity strength and cardio workout in one place in under an hour. As a model, Katherine worked with major ﬁtness magazines and up-and-coming ﬁtness fashion brands, exposing her to the emerging athleisure industry and as a life-long athlete with an innate interest in fashion. It didn’t take her long to fall in love with this new segment of the industry and as a native of Charlotte, NC, Katherine decided to return to the South to open the ﬁrst SculptHouse, using her UGA network to help spread the word.
