In 2012 the company started by Maddy, September and Jocelyn are friends and family. Maddy went to college at the University of Pennsylvania in September. Jocelyn is Maddy's older sister. They were moving into their first homes, attending weddings, travelling, having kids and growing generally frustrated with the lack of retailers that reflected the classic, but a modern lifestyle.
They hunt for unique home brands, gifts and clothes in small boutiques, but yearned for an online equivalent that made shopping easy. They quit their day jobs in finance and retail and launched Tuckernuck together. It is called Tuckernuck because they spent summers on Nantucket and they stumbled upon a tiny gem of an island off its coast, Tuckernuck. Since then, they always associated it with discovery, fun and nostalgia, thus they name the online shop, Tuckernuck.

Best customer service ever! I was double-charged for one of my orders & had no idea. I called Tuckernuck and they immediately refunded me the money, no questions asked. They were friendly & helpful on the phone. As for the dress I bought, it is much more vibrant in person, it's a great color and I love the material! Also, I was astonished when my sister tried on this dress and it fit her perfectly--she's a size smaller than me! It looks amazing on both of us though :)They have really earned my loyalty as a customer & I cannot wait to shop here again.
